Back in 2002, NetUnity developed and deployed the first Private MPLS networks used by UK Local Government, for Bedford County Council. Providing separation between Council, Schools and Emergency Services data and voice traffic, it was achieved by innovative use of existing hardware. This network was subsequently used as a reference network and emulated by other councils.
Since that time, NetUnity has successfully developed numerous WAN deployments, including innovative use of xDSL and Wireless (licenced and unlicensed) to provide cost-effective connectivity to Enterprises.
Customers have included all classes of Manufacturing, Retail, Governmental and Financial bodies, and range from prestige department stores to “rent-to-own” store chains with 250-350 sites UK-wide, and include highly secure medical and legal networks.
NetUnity maintains its lead in the field: recent developments included an MPLS network for a Medical customer, secured by IPsec to ensure compliance with the most stringent medical data retention and protection standards and introduction of SD-WAN to a major high-street retailer.
